Lambourne End Centre for Outdoor Learning – A Working Farm in Barking & Dagenham, RM4

Lambourne End Centre for Outdoor Learning is a fantastic 54-acre classroom with the freedom to create the right atmosphere for learning. Through tailored programmes it provides the opportunity for people to develop and stretch themselves whilst enjoying a fun experience in a welcoming and informal environment in which they can feel truly valued.

The centre started in 1930 when the farm was used for young farmers to camp. Lady Trower bought the centre in 1936 and set up a trust. In 1994 Mansfield and Aston took over the trust to form Lambourne Centre where young people could come to experience environmental and physical activities, with the addition of a climbing wall, a caving system, a barn, stables, an archery shelter and the working farm it is an amazing facility for young people with disabilities and additional needs to visit for a residential break.
