Moina Sweater | Handmade Wool Sweater

This is a very special sweater, hand knitted with wool from the Border Leicester sheep breed, one of the finest UK wools I have come across, I have combined the soft white of this yarn with the dark brown colour of the Wensleydale wool, a sheep breed from the same longwool family, creating a dramatic natural contrast.

The hand-embroidered sleeves are full of symbolism, the Northumbrian coat of arms, shepherd bells, and hooks, along with a traditional Fairisle cuff, all pay homage to the medieval heritage of these sheep breeds.  The sleeves are a longer length, and the neck has a high rib, with an easy-fit body shape. As this is made made to order please allow 6-10 weeks for delivery.
